Not trying to offend anyone here but honestly…I think this looks like total shit.Wanted a Pokemon tribute tattoo without getting something too obvious.
Why do we so shy away from offending anyone? It IS total shit.
a) It’s a Pokemon tattoo.
b) It’s of an in-game glitch, thereby turning already hipsterish subject matter into even more pretentious subject matter.
c) It looks like a transfer.
Tattoos very regularly look like total shit and confer nothing about their owners other than smug self-satisfaction and the fact of their total lack of taste. Can’t stand people treating them like some holy, sacrosanct medium of expression which we must stand behind constantly even when people insist on getting shit tattoo after shit tattoo until what was once a gorgeous body is ruined with pretentious crap.
She didn’t want something too obviously and yet she’s wearing a togepi t-shirt? I’m confused.
If you need to justify your tattoo in any way then you probably shouldn’t have gotten it. Just fucking ink your skin and be done with it.
Haha, last I checked the Togepi shirt wasn’t permanently etched into my skin.
“Justify” my tattoo..? That was no justification. You want a justification? I love Pokemon an unhealthy amount for someone my age, it’s played a huge part of my life believe it or not, I’ve wanted a Pokemon tattoo AND an 8-bit tattoo for as long as I can remember, decided to kill two birds with one stone, and I always thought Missingno. looked fucking rad, especially if on my skin. If you wanted a bullshit justification, I’d come up with something half-assed like “EACH PIXEL REPRESENTS A DEAD LONG-LOST FAMILY MEMBER, INCLUDING ONES THAT I NEVER MET, AND IT’S ON MY FOREARM TO REPRESENT PERSEVERENCE AND SACRIFICE FOR THE ONES I LOVE”
Nah, I just came up with the idea, drew it up, and the tattoo turned out 100% the way I wanted it.
This news just in: Pokemon is hipster and subtlety is pretentious. Also, getting tributes to shit you like on your body ruins it for everyone else, and if you ever explain your tattoo to anyone you never should have gotten it.
